Welcome to the Mourne Mountain Marathon website. 2012 will mark our 33rd event and we hope to make it every bit as challenging and memorable as the last 32.

The Mourne MM is Ireland's only two day endurance and navigation event held each year in the beautiful mountains of Mourne in Northern Ireland. It is run entirely on a voluntary and non-profit basis by a team with many years experience of organising and competing in this type of event.

This website will be active from May to October during which it will be regularly updated with news, instructions, entry information and results. All the information you need should be in this website but if you have any questions please contact us using the form or directly via the email address below.

The NEWS section below will be used to flag any new content or changes to the site in the months ahead.

MMM 2012 Entries Now Open

If you are new to the event you will find lots of useful info in the ABOUT section of this site. Use the tabs down the left-hand-side of the page to access the sub pages.

If you are an old-timer, you might like to skip straight to the ENTRIES section where you will find everything you need to enter. Don't forget you MUST read the Rules, Equipment and Safety pages before entering.

The RESULTS section has results, and route cards from previous years so if you are uncertain about which class to enter there is plenty there to help you decide.

If you have any questions or need advice please check out the FAQ section or use the forum to tap into the wealth of experience of the MM community. And, of course, you can contact us using the email address below or the contact form.

We are really excited to be kicking off our 33rd event. There is lots of time for training and plenty of endurance events elsewhere throughout the summer (eg: our sister event the Scottish LAMM). We hope you have a great season in the mountains and that you will join us in September.

As usual, there will be some important information releases through the season so once you've entered do please check back with us from time to time.

One week to launch

The clock is now counting down to entries open on 1st May. All the documentation and information has been updated. There aren't many changes from last year but we moved things around a bit so as to make the site easier to navigate. Before you enter please be sure to read the Rules, Gear list and Safety plan.

MMM Winter Recess

The MMM Committee have had their final meeting of the year and the event is now in hibernation for the Winter. The next event will be 15/16th September 2012 and this website will be refreshed and taking entries from May 2012. We can still be contacted by email but we may be slow to respond.

In the meantime thank you once again to everyone who took part either as a competitor or in organising or facilitating us. Keep up your adventures in and enjoyment of the mountains and we look forward to seeing you again next September.
